Gwendolyn Fields for CongressA New Voice for a New Oklahoma
United we can!
Create state-of-the-art educational opportunities for all Oklahomans.
Create pathways to prosperity for all Oklahomans.
Create transparent, inclusive and effective governance of Oklahoma.
Create a health care system that is affordable and available to all Oklahomans.
Create an Oklahoma governed BY THE PEOPLE of Oklahoma.
WE MUST AGREE TO
✓ Prioritize funding Education and defund the private-prison industrial complex.
✓ Maximize revenue, increase corporate taxes, and direct funding to underserved communities.
✓ Acknowledge the devastation of communities of color and fight as zealously for Civil Rights and 14th Amendment equal protection as we do for 2nd Amendment rights.
✓ Stop with the deceptive political messaging and tell the truth. Be willing to discuss difficult topics craft a solution.
✓ Acknowledge that if we keep doing what we’ve been doing, we’ll keep getting what we now have—a state failing in every critical area.
THE PEOPLE OF OKLAHOMA DESERVE BETTER. I’LL MAKE SURE WE GET IT.
As your Congresswoman, I will:
Author legislation that ensures equity and even-handed application of law and policy;
Advance Oklahoma’s need for rural and economic development, funding of farmers’ collectives to ensure that we maximize hemp farming revenue;
Zealously participate in the ongoing congressional investigations into publicly traded corporations that operated prisons in our state and illegally influenced criminal justice legislation, turning human beings into commodities.
Support a progressive agenda for small government and more funding to community organizations to craft and implement core services such as mental health and substance overuse treatment, competitive educational programs, small business and entrepreneurship;
Sponsor a Voter Enfranchisement Initiative whereby states that prohibit voting on the basis of a citizen’s felony conviction must exempt prohibited persons from paying taxes. Taxation without representation is unacceptable and unAmerican. Enough.
